HELLO! i'm here at 1.19am to bug you all about important stuff that all of you will love! DYB CHALET! ((:

Can we try to push it to be from 27th-29th dec? Cos from what i know so far, sec 1s - 3s, most of the people who are going overseas will be back by latest 26th (tentative)? Except for those who will be going away for the entire month, then i dunno when you all will be back, cos you all also never tell me. Then about the seniors, i dunno yet, haven't ask.. heh..

Anyway, I realised that we have very little time left before EOYs start and before everything else gets booked and we'll be left with no more, so we have to get this settled quickly and book it ASAP.

ALOHA CHANGI FAIRY PT BUNGALOW

The single-storey chalets are fully furbished with the living room set with TV and games table; dining room; 3 air-conditioned bedrooms, furbished with beds (1 queen-sized and 4 single-sized), wardrobe, dresser, bedside table and wall fan; 4 toilets/bath (1 attached) with shower heater; BBQ pit and a fully equipped kitchen.

Nearby got not much facilities or places to buy things or play or whatever, only changi point? But go there also see ah kua. But aloha changi near the boardwalk there, quite nice to walk, especially at like 5-6AM. Lol. So IF we get bored (which hopefully we wont), can go there and walk walk? Or after midnight can go walk to changi point there and 见识一下. O.O Haha.

Public rates (super peak): $170 per night

How to get there:
Take the east bound train to Tampines MRT station. Transfer to Bus no. 29.
OR
Take the east bound train to Pasir Ris MRT station. They have a Shuttle bus service commuting to & from Pasir Ris MRT station.

Pick-up / Drop-off points :
Pasir Ris MRT : Taxi stand facing the main road (near Mac Donald's)
Aloha changi : Outside the Reception Office (They bluff one. Only have shuttle bus from aloha changi to pasir ris mrt. Times include: 0950, 1030, 1450, 1550, 1650, 2145)

So most prob will be there from 27th, 28th and 29th dec. so KEEP THOSE DATES FREE! Telling you all these now, considered quite early already ok. haha. Basically thats all lah, for now. Then should be as usual, 2nd night have BBQ, so afternoon must go and buy food, unless can get BBQ catering?

---

Anyway, in case you're wondering why i didnt choose anywhere else... here's why. haha.

1. ARANDA COUNTRY CLUB

Indulge in leisurely rewarding weekends or holiday getaways at the Aranda Country Club, 30 units of fully furnished and air-conditioned Executive Suites of approximately 1,500 sq feet (equivalent to a standard 5-Room HDB flat) to cater to your every need. Each suite comes with living and dining areas, two bedrooms with attached bathrooms, a pantry, a refrigerator and a colour TV. To make your stay more fulfilling, we have included BBQ facilities and catering services to enhance your every need.

Super peak rates do not give you the package or privilege to use its facilities, clubs, restaurants, spa, lounge, bar, etc. But nearby is Downtown east, so relatively accessible and got quite a lot of things to do and places to go in case we get bored?

But anyway, this year right, 管乐,弹拨乐 and 弦乐 are having their chalets together, so if you're thinking why we didnt go with them...

Rates (super peak):
Aranda country club members $215
NTUC Union Members $245
Others $365 (will burn a hole in our wallets!)
BUT is PER NIGHT
AND is MINIMUM 2 NIGHTS STAY

Therefore, we can conclude that 管乐,弹拨乐 and 弦乐 people are RICH, or, just that we are considerably too small to afford it, unless you all are willing to pay. (:

2. ALOHA LOYANG GARDEN TERRACE

Single storey units, with sheltered pavilions around the BBQ areas, are fully furbished with living room set with TV & games table; dining area;2 air-conditioned bedrooms with 6 single beds (2 single beds and 2 double-deck beds), wardrobe, dresser, bedside table & wall fan; 2 toilets / bath with shower heater; BBQ pit and a fully equipped kitchen.

I’ve never been there, so I don’t really know how is it like, but I think it’s quite a distance to walk to downtown east. The Garden Terrace is the only one we can afford, it’s either one of the smallest, if not, the smallest, among all the chalets there, but its nearest the entrance and furthest to the beach, don’t know if that’s good to you all or not.

Public rates (super peak): $230 (ok, but price is abit steep compared to what you can get from the others.)

3. COSTA SANDS SUPERIOR CHALET

Twin Beds with 2 pull-out beds
Towels
Fully air-conditioned
Refrigerator
Hot Water Flask
Television Set
Attached bathroom
DVD Player

Basically its near everything fun lah. Wild wild wet and Escape (do you all want to go?), downtown east. Walking distance from Pasir Ris MRT also, so its accessible. BUT the interior of the chalet itself is very small, as you could have experienced from previous years’ chalets..

Rates: New Year Package 2007 (28/12/07 – 01/01/08)
3D/2N Stay + 4 Theme Park Tickets + Gift Member:
$388 Nett / Non-member: $408 Nett (too ex! not worth.)

---

Hope most of you can come! (:

Once upon a time, there lived a man called Samuel (I didn't say which Samuel :D) who had a terrible passion for baked beans. He loved them, but they always had an embarrassing and somewhat lively reaction on him.

One day he met a girl and fell in love. When it was apparent that they would marry, he thought to himself "She?ll never go for me carrying on like that," so he made the supreme sacrifice and gave up beans, and shortly after that they got married.

A few months later, on the way home from work, his car broke down and since they lived in the country, he called his wife and told her he would be late because he had to walk. On his way home, he passed a small cafe and the wonderful aroma of baked beans overwhelmed him.
Since he still had several miles to walk he figured he could walk off any ill affects before he got home. So he went in and ordered, and before leaving had three extra large helpings of baked beans.

All the way home he "putt-putted". He "putted", down one hill and "putted up" the next. By the time he arrived home he felt reasonably safe.

His wife met him at the door and seemed somewhat excited. She exclaimed, "Darling, I have the most wonderful surprise for you for dinner tonight" She put a blindfold on him, and led him to his chair at the head of the table and made him promise not to peek. At this point he was beginning to feel another one coming on. Just as she was about to remove the blindfold, the telephone rang. She again made him promise not to peek until she returned, and she went to answer the phone.

While she was gone, he seized the opportunity. He shifted his weight to one leg and let go. It was not only loud, but ripe as a rotten egg. He had a hard time breathing so he felt for his napkin and fanned the air about him.

He had just started to feel better, when another urge came on. He raised his leg and "rrriiiiippp!" It sounded like a diesel engine revving, and smelled worse. To keep from gagging, he tried fanning his arms a while, hoping the smell would dissipate.

Things had just about returned to normal when he felt another urge coming. He shifted his weight to his other leg and let go.

This was a real blue ribbon winner; the windows rattled, the dishes on the table shook and a minute later the flowers on the table were dead. While keeping an ear tuned in on the conversation in the hallway, and keeping his promise of staying blindfolded, he carried on like this for the next ten minutes farting and fanning them each time with his napkin.

When he heard the "phone farewells" (indicating the end of his loneliness, and freedom) he neatly laid his napkin on his lap and folded his hands on top of it. Smiling contentedly, he was the picture of innocence when his wife walked in.

Apologizing for taking so long, she asked if he had peaked at the dinner. After assuring her he had not, she removed the blindfold and yelled "Surprise!!"

To his shock & terror, there were twelve dinner guests seated around the table for his surprise birthday party.
