Yay i'm feeling bored so i'm here to post again (:

Let's start with a story of a little girl call charmaine with pictures to illustrate the story better (:

This little girl was discussing a certain geog coastal report with her friend. she was trying to tell her friend how she drew her beach profile so she came up with this:

it's obviously a messy diagram so obviously her friend cannot understand what she is trying to say


thus come the second diagram which looks like this:

admittedly, this diagram is more understandable with more labelling but how could you know what she wanted to say?

the third diagram who looks like this:

is even worse off then the first one, though much neater in comparison.
Apparently she improves the skills of her drawing but not how her drawing help to explain things.

Frustrated, the little girl came up with her fourth diagram:

which is so much much better than all her other diagrams. Haven't your teacher taught you to draw diagrams with neat and proper labelling? And your math teacher will strangle you if you fail to account what is x!!


Moral of the story: please do not forget to apply what you learn in school to your everyday life.

just shows how much time has passed and so many things happened.

anyway, forgot to post this before.

All Dyb-ians, if you dont know this song, better start learning now! it's now the official DYB song!

to those who's absolutely baffled by this, this song became famous in dyb when the year 3s and 4s came together at my place to make cupcakes for the seniors and end up getting real high in my karaoke room, with all the guys demonstrating how to dance.
afterwards, the girls began to learn as well and we threw our faces while performing for senior high dyb as part of our encouragement for syf!

those who dont know how to dance can consult guanyang as a personal trainer.
he knows this song quite well and even showed off some of the dance steps when we revealed what we were about to do.

YES so now regardless whether you're a year 1 or some botak senior in NS or whatever, learn how to sing, and most importantly, DANCE to this song now! It's the official DYB song hahaha. (:
Hope to see juniors dancing to it for us 2 years later before syf hahahaha. :D



HAPPY DYB-BLOG-200TH-POST DAY! :D

Hello.

kind soul that i am, i've decided to invest some of my holiday time (otherwise used to mug/slack) to update the blog with a lot of very very very very very late pictures (don't kill me!)
and this time, instead of extremely humiliating pictures that the others are so obsessed with putting up, im posting nice pictures! :D (how nice of me)

oh, and a very late congratulations to May Ping, on being appointed the new Treasurer of DHSSHCO! (:

good for her, not good for us at the receiving end.

i guess it's financially healthy for the orchestra, having an auntie for treasurer, hahaha.

for example, in the recent first ever CIG (CO Inaugural Games) for year 4 and 5, we, the combined group of DYB + DJY, won 1st prize! (duh, it's dyb leh)
and what do we get for being first, after getting extremely wet in the first game, running like siao around school for 1 hour and getting negative points for that (-240), and crawling around blindly like fools etc etc?

a prize that MAYPING bought, costing if im not wrong around $1.45 plus minus 10 cents [edit] IT'S $1.95, thank you very much for telling me it's 50 cents more than it's worth, i feel so comforted now [/edit] some waffle thingy.
one packet costs approx. 8 CENTS.
after distributing, average person gets 2 packets aka 16 CENTS.

moral of the story is: never get the auntie to buy the prize for any competition in the future.

This was when the few of us went to watch the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory orchestra 1 week before syf to learn more about tai2 feng1 and how to present ourselves on stage. They were great btw. :D
